Join us on Monday, February 25 at Hathaway Brown School (19600 North Park Boulevard Shaker Heights in the Worldwide Communications Center) for an SOMO Intro Lab from 6-7:30 pm in which you’ll experience a snippet of positive psychology, the science of success, well-being, and happiness along with an evolutionary account for why it’s important we learn to think differently at this point in human history + a call-to-action to be a change-agent in your life.
and then stay on, if you’d like . . .
for a SOMO Mojo Lab from 7:45-9:15 pm in which we’ll present a new nugget of applied, scientific research on well-being, success, and happiness.
The topic for this month’s MOJO lab is Job (Re)crafting. Come and reinvent yourself with Job Crafting. Learn about insightful techniques to view your current job or career with a different lens. We will map and chop your current role into flexible blocks that target your passions, motivations and unique strengths. Visit and enhance your current employment situation or create a new path towards a career or job that fits you better. The benefits to job crafting are plentiful and will increase your happiness, success and well-being which makes it perfect for a SOMO Learning Lab. This tool will help us more take leadership in our lives — ownership of our experience.
Katie Stack, Chief Career Coach, at New Career Insights will present the tool. She will define Job Crafting, present different techniques and facilitate an exercise developed from the Center for Positive Organizational Scholarship at the Michigan Ross School of Business, which will help you create an action plan for positive employment change.
